Worth saving my rims?

I have 16" rims with fairly new Toyo tires left as a token of my last lost car. The rims have a universal lug pattern design so Im fairly sure they will fit the max. My only concern is that they may be a bit too small. The OEM rim on the max now is 23" inches top to bottom and my aftermarket wheels are 21". I figure low speed pickup would be nicer with a sacrafice on top end.

Also, has anyone repained their rims? These are white and I dont have the heart to put them on a black car. I want to paint them black and looking for some advice.

No, theyre not worth saving. Give them to me

Well, the best thing to do would be to test fit the rims, and see how they ride. You can always paint them. What kind of car was it? What kind of rims?

Yea, i'm in Elizabeth, and those are 4 lugs. You can't fit them onto the Maxima. I used to have those, the Motegi MR-7's, but in 17". They looked OK at best, and i could feel the road alot more. I'd say sell the rims and get some nice 97-99 SE rims.

Looks like 96-00 Civic.

Those wheels are universal 4-lug so they won't fit on a Maxima.

yeah, i saw the pics, and theyre 4 lug, wont fit the maxima. The maxima is 5 x 114.3mm.

Elizabeth is OK, not too many potholes...and lots of fartcan civics around. If you ever need any help with your Max, i can help, I've done all the work on my car, including the 5spd swap. So let me know.

Yea, it was a 97 5spd Ex Coupe, not rice. In the front you can notice one remaining CTR headlight.

one thing to know about 99's is that they have very common coilpack problems, so make sure they were replaced. Also, the extra emissions equipment makes the knock sensor removal and installation a pain in the a$$. Other than that, enjoy your car, good choice with a Maxima.

Whats a coilpack? I highly doubt these were replaced. The car has 86,000 miles btw

Instead of using spark plug wires and a distributor, the maxima's engine uses coil packs, theyre more efficient, but more costly. Alot of 99's have misfiring issues as a reslt of the faulty Hanshin coilpacks they came with. The good ones are the discontinued, Mitsubishi coil packs.
