Heat Problem...

Well I have a couple of problem...My car takes longer than usual for it to heat up and when it does get warm, if I drive for about 4-5 minutes, the heat gets completely cold. I mean the needle drops all the way down past the "C" cold mark. However, if the car is at a standsill for a while, the car will get hot and the heat pumps like normal. I've checked the levels and my antifreeze seems fine. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
