Stock Radio (w/o GPS) no audio when Cold

Have a 2005 Maxima with 20,000 miles.

The stock Radio (Bose without Nav) will have not audio below 20 degrees F until the car warm up for at least 15 mins. This has happen to me 4 different time in the past 6 days. It has gotten real cold in the northeast. The rest of the radio looks like it is functioning, Sat tuner show stations names and Information, FM channels show Station names and sounds.

Has anyone’s had this Problem?

you'll have to leave it overnight at the dealer and hope 1- they see it too 2- they can fix it.

I know my display is a bit slow just like any other led device when cold, but sounds normal.

I have a 05 no nav, and had the same problem here in Denver and it was only 20 last night. Mine came up with "No Sat" till the car got a little warmer.

Everything works fine in mine during really cold weather except for CDs. They will skip like they're all scratched up, but then after 15 minutes or so they play normal. It's really annoying when I first start driving, so I usually listen to the radio until the car's totally warmed up.

The biggest problem i have when its cold is skipping. Ususally i set everything the night before. But if it changes cd or even tracks it skips. Can take up to 20 mins to stop skipping. Dealer could never find the issue.

so i was having the cd skipping problem...just came back from the dealer, they told me they havent had any issues like that but it seems one of the mehanics knew about it or has been in the org, cause he came out and told the service manager he heard about it and he recomended to replace the unit...so i have an appointment friday (2 days from now...) to get my new radio installed...

i would say just go to the dealer... oh yeah..they told me (before the service guy came to my rescue..) that i would have to leave my car overnight dso that they could try ot first thing in the morning ...i said sure !! just make sure i get a replacememnt car.. and i let you know right now i will not take a crappy car not even for a day...i didnt pay the money i paid to be riding in a 2000 sentra with cloth seats or worse...the guy was like oh...i think that would be a little of a problem... anywayz..that delaer is very focused on customer service and they would go out of their way to satisfy a customer... at least that has been all my experiences... even when i had to deal with an axzhole, i just took my problem to a manager and he personally made sure this azxhole did what i was asking for...

good luck...

Luigi
