Lumar tint any goood??? please info needed quick

I am about to get my tint re-done with 15% all around and a strip on the windshield for $200 with lifetime warranty. This includes taking off the old tint. Is Lumar tint a good brand because I remember heariong that it may be a cheap on. Thanks

Lumar is very good tint. That's a good price. Go for it.

Where are you getting that done? I am from the same area and that sounds like a great deal. I paid $280 to get mine (20% all around). Thanks and good luck with that tint, you are going to love it!

When its cold it could take up to 7 days. At least thats what I was told when mine was done. The guy was a d!ck though. It cost me 230 for 35% up front and 20% in back. Took him literally a month to do. He said he couldnt figure out how to get the old tint off. Its not complicated.

Back in the day Lumar was the best. But I think they say 3M is the best now. Good luck.

I got Lumar on my Jeep, paid 250 with lifetime warranty. I wish I could get it for 200. I'm getting ready to do my Max, so i'm getting ready to shell out another 250, but its well worth it with the lifetime warranty. That means no bubbles or pealing a few years down the road, plus it doesnt fade to blue or purple like most cheaper tint.

During the winter it's difficult to remove tint and not damage the rear defrosters. There isn't enough heat from the sun, so they have to find a different way to remove it (take a heat gun to it maybe). But still, it should not take a month to do.

I guess I got a steal of a deal on mine. 185 for removal of old tint and installation of Madico Charcool (non-metallic color stable) 35% all around.

Lumar is great. Only reason I didn't get Lumar was because most shops around here didn't carry that brand of film. I'm very happy with the Madico tint though. 200 is a good price for Lumar. Remember, the tinting ability of the actual installer is just as important as the tint film itself.

Look in the yellow pages and start calling numbers. That's how I found the place I went to. If you get a decent price over the phone, drive on down there, check out their shop and maybe even talk em down a few more dollars.
