Luminics JDM Yellow H3 on 4th gen!!

1fstmax and I were bored earlier...so we decided to install these...it turned out pretty good...although you can't see the full brightness of the yellow fogs becuz his HIDs are so blinding

Before installation...side by side comparison of PIAA ION crystal and Luminics JDM Yellow...Notice the luminics have a straight yellow film and the PIAAs have all sorts of different colors in their film...we want yellow, not a rainbow!

Left side with Luminics, right side with PIAAs...you can already notice the Luminics produce a deeper yellow than the PIAAs...but we can't extract the full potential of the Luminics since 1fstmax's fogs aren't rewired...so his HIDs have to be on for his fogs to be on

Another pic...Luminics left, PIAAs right...not too good either...sorry

Both sides installed with luminics!

Also check out my thread on my 5th gen with the luminics fogs rewired...much better pictures there..just wanted to give you 4th gen guys a heads up...

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=444853

1fstmax will rewire his fogs soon and we'll have more pix so stay tuned

Try looking on the floor of each picture...you will notice a difference there...dont look directly at the bulb...

So you guys had an ultra-mini-mod-meet. Nice! I'm wondering if maybe I can get me a 9007 hyper yellow headlight bulb. That would perfectly match all the other hyper yellow on my max. Now I'm wondering if yellow headlights are legal also.

I went to the CA DMV website and checked the VC section and found this:

An illuminating device, as permitted under Section 24255, shall emit radiation predominantly in the infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Any incidental visible light projecting to the front of the vehicle shall be predominantly yellow to white. Any incidental visible light projecting to the rear of the vehicle shall be predominantly red. Any incidental visible light from an illuminating device, as permitted under Section 24255, shall not resemble any other required or permitted lighting device or official traffic control device.

Based on this, it looks like you can have yellow headlights.

those HID's on that 4th gen aren't retrofited right ? They are just one of those plug and play units? it gives off a green tint vibe.

I really like the yellow bulbs. it looks amazing on the 5th gen. Makes me wanna get OEM fogs.

The PIAA appears slightly brighter, cleaner and more intense then the Luminics.

what do these Luminic JDMs go for? Where did you find a good price for them??

also, is it just the H3 bulb size, or is there an H3 Micro that works?

I agree...

The luminics, have a deeper yellow than the PIAA. But the PIAA's are brighter and I can notice them with my HID's when I'm driving. The Luminics, are hard to notice, unless i turn them off and back on. I don't know.. can't say I'm satisfied with these.

they're old hanabi 6000k bulbs, they're green when they're warming up and do have a slight green hue..

Where did you get the old PIAA's? And how much were they?
Same two questions go for the hanabi's.

Looks really good though, I must say.

Interesting...I need to get some yellow bulbs since I have to drive in the snow so much...I was actually thinking of getting them for my headlights too.

LuminicsBulbs.com guarantees their bulb so you have 60 days to return them if you are not happy with the performance and they will give you a full refund. But that's if you bought it from them.

I had the Luminics yellows in my fogs, other than they are yellow and look cool, the light output is horse$hit. So now I have Piaa Extreme White Plus. And for the headlights, Xtravisions 9004. Lots of light on the road.

I'm running the Luminics yellow H3's in my fogs. Can't really see them on the road over my HID headlights. The color does look nice on the car contrasting my HID's with yellow fogs. Thats about all there good for.

Thats the best overall stock set up you can put on a Maxima. I was running that exact set up until I converted over to HID's. Throws nice light on the road, where you need it most.

I have a 98 Sage Mist Green SE, would you guys recommend going with the clear bumper lights + orange bulbs and putting orange bulbs in the corner lamps as well?

Thanks.

can you should the light output over the road or against a wall?

i saw the 5th gen with the wall pattern but i'm more interested in the 4th gen. My headlights aren't cutting it. I should of never gotten my eurolite, after driving on the highway at 9pm in nearly complete darkness i understand why you people are sticking with stock bulbs, but what are "stock " bulbs seriously?

So the consensus is that the Luminics yellow H3's aren't much for performance and just for looks? I'm really leaning towards getting yellow headlights, I wonder if the Luminics will cut it better than the Xtravisions?
