Change Manual heat and a/c to Climate Control??

My 97 SE has manual heat and a/c controls. I came across this auction for an automatic climate control panel. So, I'm wondering if I could just swap my current control panel for this one and then have automatic climate control.

Have any of you done this?? Would this be as simple as it seems, or is there more to this than simply swapping the controls??

There is a lot more to it than just swapping the main control unit. It's frankly not worth the trouble, or cost, for that matter.

i agree, it would be nice, though. but after i heard it's not really as simple as it may seem, i figured it's not that big a deal.

It can be done, but it is very involved and requires many more parts besides the faceplate.
