Blueish White smoke is oil. White smoke is coolant. Could be a number of things. Does it smoke when you idle? Or just while you are on the gas? If the turbo is still on the manifold just the car is running N/A, it could be your turbo seals. If it's coolant and not oil, you might have a blown headgasket.

^ what he said. First order of business is a compression check, report back after you do that and we can go from there.

ok i'll do the compression test today after work but for now it does smoke very little on idle which could be just normal exhaust gas but it does smoke alot when i get on the pedal,,, the turbo is practically brand new and i have not boosted the engine yet due to lack of intercooler

What does the smoke smell like? Figure out if it's oil, or if it's coolant. Did you recently mess with your PCV, IE install a catch can? If you mess up a catch can and it's not vented properly it'll force smoke out of your exhaust. The compression test might help, although you can still have good compression and have a blown head gasket.

is your turbo hooked up to the exhaust ie it will spool if you load the motor but your intake isnt hooked up to the turbo or is it the other way around your intake is hookedup to the turbo but not the exhaust

have you checked your oil and coolant levels to see if anythings out of the ordanary

definitly could be turbo oil seals even if the turbo it brand new what size feed and return are you runnning and is the return a strait shot for good gravity drain

The last motor I had in the car used a lot of oil and had tones of white smoke. When I blew the motor I found out that The return line was exactly where the cap girtle was. There was less than a 1/4 inch between the girtle and dump tube. When the oil pressure went up it would leak through seals in the turbo and pool in the IC piping and burn in the exhaust, hence the white smoke. I even sent the turbo to Turbonetics for a rebuild and they said it was fine. I just didn't measure right. If its only in the high RPM range that might be the problem. Make sure you have a good drain.
Enjoy the nice weather.
Merry Xmas

so i did the compression test a long time ago and it was normal and came to the conclusion that it's my turbo so i took it apart and found the seals blown out but not damaged they were not where they are suppo9sed to be, however i changed them and put the turbo back on the car and the seals are blown again why do they keep on getting blown ,,,, i have -4 an feeding the turbo and the return is -12 AN what do you guys think????

I thought that a -12an line was too big for the return line? It should also be a straight as possible to the oil pan.

Do you have an oil restrictor to control oil pressure going into the turbo?

Sounds like pressure building up behinds the seals. That could either come from too much oil pressure going to the turbo, or oil not draining from the turbo fast enough causing it to back up in the turbo. -4 is about normal for a feed and -12 is a nice big return, so my bet is that it's too much oil pressure. You could rig a pressure gauge somewhere between your feed tap and the turbo to find out how much oil pressure is in that line, or just try a restrictor like slimer suggested and hope that works.

Also what kind of turbo is it? Maybe it's just a crappy turbo that is blowing seals under normal oil pressure because it sucks?

I thought you weren't supposed to have more than like 45 psi, but i'm totally pulling that out of my azz. What pressure are you seeing? Justin, that may be a little high.

i dont see that 80psi often maybe at start up. I see 50-60ish really when WOT. I think 80 is high too but again I dont see that much.

BTW- bought both oil lines from stealthmode ehich really didnt work for my setup. The return is a 10-AN whihc isnt long enough and feed was only a 3-AN (all the fittings didnt work out cuz my turbowas different tho). I bought all fittings and lines from sumitracing...
