5th gen brake issue
OK, so my brakes had the exact same problems that were described in the 2 Service Bulletins (jitter and low groaning noise).
So I took it to Nissan. Pulled in to service bay and showed him the bulletins and said that is EXACTLY what was happening. He had this dumb look on his face and then asked his manager to go on a demo ride with me to show him what it was doing... So then later, I asked him if I could leave it and he said yes, but that he couldn't get to it for 7 days!!! So I had to make an appoinment. 7 days later I give him the car. The next day I called and asked if car was ready. He said "we had to order parts" *SIGH* so i went and got the car. He said they should be in the next day or so.. I wait 5 days and call back... Are the parts in?.. "No...they must be on back order..call later"
Great Nissan service I tell ya!
How can Infiniti and Nissan have such totally opposite service?!
Is this normal, or is this just a bad dealer?

Re: Nissan Service
I had an Infiniti QX4 before I got the 2k Max SE and their service was the BEST.. They treated you special. They would tow the car if necessary for free to the dealership and would give you an Infiniti loaner car while yours was being worked on.
Their warranties are even better (50K miles) Maybe the I-30 is worth several thousand more....

I would have to say it depends on which dealer you visit. I happen to have purchased my current Max from a #1 ranked dealer in my area. Their service department caters to their customers and goes out of their way to please you. My last dealer was only #1 ranked in sales and it showed when I visited their service department.

I took my car in and waited 2 weeks. No one called. I called the service department and they transferred me to the parts department. The parts had already arrived and they were waiting on me to bring my car in. I called the service department back. 3 weeks after the intial check in I got the brakes and auto tranny TSB's done. Not only that they called me TWO weeks after getting the work done to tell me that my parts were in and I could bring my car in for service. I had to explain the entire story to the guy over the phone. He had the attitude that this is normal. Oh well Nissan service for ya!
