I agree don't put these on your Maximas, for that you should of gotton a Honda. I would never put those Altezza tail lights on my Maxima. The tail lights on the 4 gens look great and if you really want to change your tail lights and make them look better, get rid of the orange lenses. Keep the Maxima looking like a Maxima, the great sports sedan that it is.

Maximas are unique, don't make them look like Hondas or a Lexus.

i wonder if the 02 max is gonna come with a altizza-like tail lights just like the 02 altima. From the sticky post about the new 02 max it says it's gonna come with a "clear cover for a distince look", that sounds like altizza to me!

I was just having this discussion at the Northeast Maxima Meet last Sunday. I was wondering if it was just me...

The lights just look cheap. There is no other way to describe it. Doesn't sound like they'll need to be much of a push on boycotting, I think there were maybe 5 or so out of the 115 Maxima's there that were even thinkin' about it.

 

you guys are taking this way too far. so what if someone wants to put alslezza lights on there max. i wouldnt put them on my max, espically since it took me a week to clear out my stock tail lights. i think we have a good thing going with how the 95-96 have white on top red on bottom and the 97s up are the opposite. maybe you guys are right. alslezzas detract from our uniqness. down with the slezzas

 

So I take it you don't want to see my cheap 95SE with them on it? Ha---Alex helped me out and sold me one of his last sets out of 40! ****, at 40 pairs, he sold about 10,000 worth of Altezzas. Something told me he bought them for about 7,000 and made some mad cash, but I don't care
I agree they aren't for everyone, but I had to order a set to see what I though. If I think they make my sweet ride look *CHEAP* I am going to Ebay with them instantly. Trust me....I will post a poll and let you all vote--that will be the deciding factor. If the poll says YUK...they go to EBAY, if not they stay and I join the Hunduhhh club

i think i kinda like the carbon fiber/ smoked out altezza lamps. the ones available from altezzalighting.com are pretty fugly tho...

 

Zero...Nice photoshop work. Don't like to look on the max too much though. You are right though in that the smoke ones look the best of the bunch.

if u gonna poll how the altezza would look then by the way this thread is going u'll be ebaying the thing...determine for urself...if u like em then keep em...if u don't then sell em...if u like it don't let anyone influence u into thinking the lights are ugly...because it all boils down to the matter of taste...in my opinion the only color that would compliment the altezza is either silver/gray or white...

The Lexus IS300 is a nice Sport Sedan and Maxima's are also so why can't the Maxima have a nice set of lights like another sport sedan it is not like we are trying to put lights on our car off of a Ford Escort or Kia or Something........this is as simple as it gets we have our own cars,money,time and choices to do whatever we want to our cars...simple if you like it for you ride you buy it if you don't then don't buy it!
