How much did ya'll pay for your DYNO TUNE?

Please also provide the following...

1. How much did it cost?
2. How many hours of dyno time?
3. What Air/Fuel ratio did you begin with?
4. What Air/Fuel ratio did you end with?

thank you!

1) $100
2) 1 hour
3) All over the place (mainly 11's and 12's)
4) Still all over the place (mainly the 12's with some in the 13)

ouch, that sucks...what could be the cause for your bad AFR? Hopefully its not dyno operator errors...

thanks for the tip joe...but I think i made up my mind where I'm gonna get my ride tuned....during spring break, I'mma head up north and meet up with ynot411...and we are gonna tune are rides together...he gets good discounts at the local shop of his...6hrs of dyno time for like $80 or $90....then me and ynot411 are gonna split the tab and dyno time....we do the tuning ourselves...it should be pretty fun!

When's SB for you? I'll be wiating for results. Hopefully by then I'll have all my goodies together in order to go and tune, maybe before, maybe after.

That's a good deal, 6 hrs for 90$ ...

Man I got quoted ahead of time for afc tuning and they said it would be 375 not including have a 02 bung welded for the wideband. Seems kinda high to me.

Just get a WB02 and tune yourself. You can "dyno" whenever you want with more realistic load and aerodynamic drag to boot.

If you have the cash, get a Innovate LM-1. They're very accurate and easy to use. Plus you'll be tuning exactly how you drive...on the street as opposed to the dyno. (unless you want hp number as well)

just a question for all ya'll who street tune with a WB02 -

Isn't that **** dangerous to tune? I mean my ideal ratio is 4th gear being 1.1:1 ....and my 4th gear goes all the way up to 118mph....Do you guys keep running 118mph runs on freeways until you get the ideal AFR? ****, what do you do if you get pulled over!

right now not enough to bother to go tuning...just a PR/cattman CAI and FC b pipe. i've had a UDP sitting around uninstalled forever (same with my ksports lol)... right now i have plenty saved up to buy a recalibrated VB from maximum tuning and a set of headers. i'll probably be going the hotshot route but i'd rather not rush myself til i'm close to 60k miles (i'm at 50k even right now)..

i don't really care about violating the warranty with headers, it's the tranny work for the VB that's making me want to wait (plus my tranny's full of new ATF so getting an ATF cooler and VB now is sort of wasteful). i'm sort of leaning towards using an SAFC for install reasons (longer cord..) but i'll decide once I do buy the headers. till then i need to put on my damn UDP and coilovers already...hopefully they'll be on by spring break even though UDP's aren't a power-gainer. headers/vb/tuning are in the plans for early summer

yes a wb02 requires a labtop of some sort to datalog the information down....alot of people say wb this and wb that...but u know what? most people don't really have time or the money to buy a wb02....and dont have access to a laptop....and a $100 tune from the dyno is much more justified

I paid $45 for three dyno runs plus $20 for air/fuel ratio readings.

I spent an hour with dyno. The shop told me it will be $400 for tuning and they can tune my emanage blue. However, they did not have anything of their own. So, I told them, I only want three runs plus air/fuel readings since my LM-1 wideband sensor was bad. They let me spend 10 minutes extra tuning my own emanage and came out happy. They were not happy though.

I started with 13's and ended with 11's. Used emanage but for non max application (sr20det to be specific).

A Z/G shop out here wanted to charge me 385 for 10 runs to dyno + tune, which I thought was ridiculous. Another place that Redmax and gang recommended was 150/hr for dyno + tune. I've yet to do it, but will let y'all know how it goes.

why u want to tune 4th gear if you don't go to 118 mph? lol
and you don't need to datalog. it's easier but you don't need to
