I'm looking for some slicks to use at the track. Does anyone have any suggestions? What size rim works best? I have a 5-speed, and I don't want to be burning up any transmissions.

 

Nitto 555R Drag radials or BFGoodrich drag radials are the tires of choice. I used 205/50-15 BFGs mounted to my stock 15" rims when I raced my '95 SE. Now I have 16" rims with 225/50-16 Nitto 555R drag radials for my '01 A.E. These tires are just as good if not better then actual drag tires(no tread). Since these drag radials have at least 1/8 of tread, you can install them and drive to the drag strip. You don't have to use the water box inorder to heat them up, one good e-brake clutch drop will do fine. I will be testing my tires out Wednesday in preparation for a big Import event on Saturday.
