Nice numbers. Healthy max you got there. Most of the time the hp is higher than the tq when you reach 240's so it's got potential.

BTW, what was your raceweight for the times in your sig.

Nice numbers and nice flat AF... and those are the first generation headers, judging from the pictures on your homepage?

Nice #'s tony...how much did you pay for your AFC tune and how many hrs did you get?

I'm hoping to get #s like you when I hit the dyno for AFC tuning

-Thanks! I'm still disappointed because I've seen higher whp then what I came up with from other VQ35s. And can I add, that it's not even close to SR20DET's 260+ whp. (I know Matt...if I want the power I must pay for it. I'm okay with that. Just really envy your 12 sec beast.)

The Kinetix talk has been going on for ages with nothing in sight yet... the eBay/Delubz cams are probably a better bet for 20 whp....

wow those are impressive numbers. does the dyno shop tune the AF for you or is that something you play with yourself? (i've never been to a dyno before)

Either you or they can tune it.

In this case, I believe it was the owner of the car.

The shop I go to does not tune imports. They only lend me the dyno. I have been tuning myself. It is really not that difficult.

Did you try leaning it out any more? It looks like there might be more to gain between 4200 to 5500 since you're at 12.5:1 there. From what I've seen, 13-13.5 seems to be ideal. Just wondering how that might change things, but even as is, your power curve (and area below) look healthy compared to other 5.5 6MTs I've seen.

I will probably go back pretty soon. SR20DET informed me that I had my vacuum hoses reversed and loss low end power/tq. So I want to see what I gain on the low end. In addition, wanted to prove/disprove the lighter wheel equals more power theory. And as always try to tweek the A/F Ratio to flatten it out as best as possible.

1. It's a piggyback engine management unit
2. It costs $250 shipped on ebay
3. Yes it's worth it...
4. You don't need a dyno slip to show anyone...just go to a dyno shop and tell them you have the Apex-i SAFCII...Pay them $150 and they will tune it for you..

does that answer all your questions?

I would hardly call it an engine management system. It's more along the lines of a very raw way of tuning a/f.

If your a/f is off then it's warranted, if not then it's a waste. TS and JWT advance timing for an A32 as well as adjust A/F parameters. The JWT is notorious for going quite lean. Considering that the JWT/TS do more proves them to be better than the SAFC alone, but only you can decide whether the price/hp benefit is worthwhile.

Yes you can use it in collaboration with a shot of N2O.

I would stop the personal attacks because it's apparent you have no clue what you're talking about and also show no initiative to search for yourself. Your questions have been answered well before you even joined this site.

thanks for a useful post, was that really hard to do, I asked a question if you know the answer and willing to share the info do post a response if not shut up and move on, no need here for kids
the reason I asked about the apex cause I still plan on more mods in the future and thought this would be a good thing to have since I could tune as I add more and more mods but if I go with jwt/ts its a 1 shot deal less I send it back to be reprogramed

Looking at my post now after I wrote it .. I think it sucks the way I worded it.. Considering I said they do more, doesn't actually mean they're better.

JWT has a 65 shot program, switchable to their N/A program.. Search for more info on that.

Many members have dealt with them(JWT) including myself, and their customer srvice sucks and they think they know more than half of what they really do know. Also, they will have you wait over 6 weeks to get the damn thing.
