Congrats!!

I'm sure you'll be pleased with the performance. By the way...do you have any pics of ur ride? How does your Platinum tint look like? Is it like the Titanium look?

let us know how you like it. The sleeve is a pain to keep on. You can use some duct tape to make sure it stays on there. It'll look ooglie, but hey....it's all good

Re: Congrats!!

i'm not sure what the titanium tint looks like, but the platinum tint is just black. it's called platinum cuz it's supposed to have metallic particles in it which presumably filters out more uv without having to go all the way to opaque.
i actually got it on recommendation from a friend and cuz of it's lifetime warranty. i live in california where it's sunny ALL the time, and i've been very happy with it.

Oh aight, thanks for the info. Titanium tint is that soft mirror effect. Not too much like a mirror but a soft reflection. Grrr...my sleeve keeps on sliding off too. Duct tape it is I guess.

My air intake fits in nice and snug. I'm not sure why others have had a problem with it slipping off. I can't see that happening very easily on my car. You are talking about the last piece just before the airbox right? If it's that loose couldn't you just use a small screw or duct tape to secure it?

And shouldn't your girlfriend be happy because she missed you, not that you missed her? If you are the one that missed her then visiting her should make you happy. If she's happy too, then all the better.

I'm in a smartass mood tonight.

Not exactly too sure why this sleeve keeps popping off but maybe it's due to that fact that I have to OSCAI scoop hanging all the way down to the bottom of the car to where you can see it. Wind at high speeds may be the culprit as well as the F#@cked up roads here in Jersey City/NYC...plus the way I drive must factor in too.

I fed my OSCAI through the splash guard where it fit's nice and snug. Everything is one solid immoveable (sp?) piece. If you just let it hang it would be flopping around all over the place (that's also why you should wear a jock strap when playing squash), and I guess I could then see the sleeve coming loose.

Congrats on the OSACI!!! I just installed my OSCAI too, but I didn't have a problem w/ the sleeve, maybe b/c I did not check yet. Is that extension hose attached to the air scoop really necessary??? You can really feel the difference once you get your baby on the road...Have fun!!!

Black cable ties. Cinch the sleeve down to the lower airbox mounting bracket just behind the battery. It works, it's simple, and it's clean!

I have been really hesitant about doing the OSCAI, seems to simple and good to be true.
I am gonna do my homework on it and pick up a K&N filter also.

I put a cable tire around the air box right next to the sliding sleeve. then i pulled as hard as i could. this was 4 days ago and it hasn't moved yet.
The OSCAI is installed and I love it. i can't believe i didn't do it sooner. Thanks for the recommendations guys on how to do it. i have mine dangling about 2 inches above the splash gaurd. i think i am getting some cold air in under the radiator. i need to make a scoop for it next.
