actuallly i am going through...

My car is being in the process of getting repaired, but i already received my custommaxima.com front/rear clear side markers. Personally, i am gonna leave it legal. Yellow bulbs in front, red bulbs in rear/.
Roger

I still haven't decided if i want to put the REAR CLEAR SIDE MARKERS, i kinda like the red ones. red and black is nice.

Your white Maxima is going to look OUT OF THIS WORLD with the clear markers. Its perfect.

Re: actuallly i am going through...

I had the illegal blues until my day arrived and I received a summons for each light... I had to pay it tod, since it wasn't something broken..
I have red & yellow now but the colors are fading slowly b/c of the water inside the lenses...
Word of advice!!!!
Silicone the edges b4 you put it on or it'll fog up later on...

I have the clear sidemarkers front and back. I put Polarg's M-4 Hybrid Superwhite bulbs in the front and M-21 red bulbs in the rear. The sidemarkers are clear during the day and at night the backs have a nice red glow and the fronts are white with a slight blue tint. It looks really nice. The backs actually look much better than the stock red-tinted sidemarkers, in my opinion. As long as you put reds in the back, you can put superwhites in the front and the cops won't notice or bother you. I ordered my bulbs from Autodynamic (http://www.autodynamic.com). The bulbs are $8/pr.; a good price. Polarg makes great bulbs. Avoid SOEI. If you're going to order from Autodynamic, you way as well order some more bulbs and save on shipping. I recommend the M-4 Superwhites for the license plate lights. It will give your license plate a slight blue glow and match the front sidemarkers. You won't regret it.

i would put super whites in the front. the back however i like the red lenses cause it matches my black maxima and the rear tail lights. if your goin to clear those too, either one would be fine.

Anyone kno if i put super whites (not blue) bulbs for the rear turn signals, will i get busted? i heard you can either have amber or white right? just checking up on things.

Even if you use the correct color bulbs, it's still not legal. There's a legal disclaimer on the box I received that says for off-road use only. And it came with amber bulbs.

Yup.
But so many people have clears these days. Especially In Dallas cops just stop caring

I am cornfused...?

Why if the light still emitts the correct color while being turned on will it be illegal. Or does it have something to do with the "safety" of the lens?

When you lights are off, the color doesn't reflect amber or red. (for when you car is stalled or parked)

I still don't see why it matters what color they are when they are off. Some cars don't even have side markers.....Plus most european cars have clear markers anyways.

Yeah, Yeah...what he said....? If they need to see yellow or red to determine which way they are going, the world is in much hurt!

I only have rear clears for now, and I have the red bulbs in them. Someone from around here and also a member on the board got pulled over recently and they got him for the clears and/or bulbs. So I think I'm just going to leave them legal.

clear fronts, stock red rears.

i used to 'matching' xtreme white bulbs for my headlights/fogs/front sidemarker. but, the sidemarkers were bluer then the rest, so it annoyed me.

i use orange bulbs in the front, and red bulbs w/ stock rear.

i had the clear rears, but it looked too ricey on my grey car, and the red bulb looked pink.

THIS is why clears are ILLEGAL

The amber side markers are amber so that if another car shines it's lights at it at night while the lights are off, then it will reflect amber, not clear. Amber is sort of a warning color whereas white is not. So even though the light may have an amber bulb, it will not reflect amber when light is shined on it when it is not on. NUFF SAID!

Re: THIS is why clears are ILLEGAL

That's what I was trying to say. I still will run with the front clears though.
