I really hope someone can help me out.

Here is what happen today. On the way to work this morning the car drove fine no problems but whe i came out from work my clutch felt wierd. when i pressed it, it felt like it wasnt there till i hit it all the way down. but the gears when in so i drove it home. now, i was going to go over my friends house to use his garage to see what is going on but my gears will not go in even when i press the clutch all the way down that is when the car is turned on. but when i turn off the car i could put it in gear.

Can anyone please help me with this or lead my in some directions

first thing i would think is either the slave or master cyl for the clutch. When you push the clutch down do you feel pressure all the way like you normally did or is it still only at the bottom? if only at the bottom check the fluid level in the clutch resivour if its ok then check the clutch lines to make sure theres not a big leak or somthing. If those two look ok then have somone press the clutch while you watch the slave cylander, its on the top of the tranny with the rod that pushes the fork so see how much it moves when somone pushed the pedal if any. I guess do some of that and get back on here to let us know what happens then you can narrow it down from there.

i agree, when there is no resistance in the clutch pedal, check the fluid first.

Definitely don't drive it until you get these hydraulics issues worked out. Driving it with bad clutch hydraulics will damage the clutch and/or the tranny internals. I saw someone had a brand new clutch master and slave for sale in the buy/sell section a few days ago.

That happened to my '95 about 3 years ago, and I thought O **** I need a new clutch, but it turned out to just be a slave cylinder, which was less than $200 having the work done at the dealer. I had to have it towed there (gotta have AAA for these situations), b/c it wouldn't go in gear at all, after getting progressively worse for a couple months.
