Another Fidanza thread...crank senors, etc

Fidanza's are aluminum....which is non-magnetic
Crank sensors are signaled by magnetic [waves]?
Are the teeth on the stock flywheel steel?

Sider ring or reluctor....is that a misnomer for the timing gear ring?
How come only a handful of Maximas have issues w/ Fidanza and others dont? Thats whats really killin me...

Somethings not right...my starter spins freely...again, ha! (it's new)
As soon as I get my tools back this tranny has to come off...again.

You have to swap the ring grear from your old flywheel to the fidanza, thats what the CPS reads off. Theres a good thread in the All Motor Fourm about the fidanza, I think it might be a couple pages back.

Ring gear being the flywheel SIZED disc w/ 360 teeth....1 tooth per degree of measurement....correct?

Same or different thing?

this maybe the solution to your starting problem.

didnt your car start fine after the findanza install? why after a given amount of time would it finally start to act up?

switching back to see if the oem will start the car with ease with help determine if this flywheel is to blame

No spacer needed, can you describe the spacer your talking about? And yes the flywheel sized gear with lots of teeth is the "ring gear". As for a starting problem, the space between the ring gear and the CPS might have gotten throw off some how, that would cause a car not to start, and or have a problem with starting.

Im thinking I may have figured it's due to one or 2 of these rings or gears
