Stock rear Spoiler

Anybody know a good place to buy the OEM style real Spoiler? I picked up an 05 about a month ago and it didn't have it. Also, how hard is it to install it yourself? The dealer is trying to charge me $549 for the spoiler, NOT including installation.

Look on ebay under 2004, 2005 and 06 under nisaan maxima, there are a couple of dealers that advertise spoliers there, they loo/sound good, I was considering it but they don't have my color.

Did you have to remove the Nissan emblem that was already on the trunk?

I believe the spoiler will include a new emblem.

Yeah courtesy nissan is a great site to get this item. Yeah, the old emblem would need to go.

Thanks for the link dubc! My local dealer is trying to rape me. Looks like I'll be getting my mudflaps from them as well.

I had mine worked into the deal. I do know that they removed the one (emblem) off my car and as stated, the spoiler does have one of it's own. I asked how much it would have cost if it weren't worked into the deal, parts were $200 and change. Installation was about 30 minutes. I'm sure however that they would have charged me for the full hour.

Wow the price really went up! Take your time and use sharp bits/punches and remember the trunk is not steel.

Does anyone have installation instructions for the OEM spoiler?
Or can someone post the instructions provided with the spoiler from
Courtesy. I want to see what's involved before I purchase one.

I got mine on Ebay. Cost was 1/3 of the OEM. Paint matched exactly. It was a peel and stick application. No drilling or anything. I just had the OEM Nissan logo moved from the trunk lid to the spoiler and re-applied with adhesive.

I got mine from this guy.

But this place is cheaper, and has 100% feedback too!

I installed my lip spoiler this weekend. Took about an hour. You will need to drill 5 holes. If I remember correctly 3 holes are with a 11/32 drill bit and the other 2 are 5/16. The 3 biggers holes have bolts which fit into the trunk and you will have to tighten them with the 3 nuts provided. The other 2 fit to keep the spoiler snug against the trunk. It also has 3mm tape on the spoiler for tighter fit. You will have to take the 12 trunk cover locks off first so you can see the 3 studs to connect the nuts. You will also need to have a 10mm and extention to fit into the holes to tighten the bolts. The spolier came with a drill template and has step by step instrustions on how to install. Oh yeah I got mine from courtesy nissan also. Cost $205 shipping included. I will look to see if I still have the instructions, but I may have thrown them away. Hope this helps.

Good for you installing it your own. I don't have the ***** to drill into my car yet.

I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to get a due bill taken care of. I will ask them about parts and labor. If its over $300 I will go off on my own.

Spoiler

Try Spoiler Depot. www.spoilerdepot.com

I bought one for my '95 painted and the color matched almost perfectly. Cost was $179 plus shipping.

My lip spoiler came with the car...

This weekend on my way back to Dallas from Houston I saw a white 6th gen SE with the lip spoiler and the other spoiler that is out there for the Max. Anyone else seen that before? I thought it looked ok... Any thoughts. Anyone done this or seen pics of what I am talking about? I didn't have my digi cam with me so I couldn't take a pic.

This one?

It looks good. I think I have seen these on G35 sedans. Only issue I see is if you already have a spoiler you might need to fill some holes on the trunk lid.

Dubc, yes, The Max I saw was like the one in the pic, but it ALSO had the lip on it... Was wondering if anyone had seen one of those installed like that with both spoilers... I thought it looked good. Darn it for not having the digicam ready...

Ebay here I come.

I went to the dealership yesterday. $800 bucks installed they quoted. I laughed at them and asked how much just for the part. They said $600. The original sales person was with me when I was asking about it. He didn't say a word until I walked away. He said how much can you get them for? I said according nissanusa.com they are $200.00 but I can get it for less than that. He went and asked the store manager what he could sell it for and he came back with $300 just for the part. I proceeded to walk out the door.

Go here 114 dollars. There is either 2 or 3 holes that have to be drilled and it should take no more than a hour to install it.

Chernmax... that looks so good. I sometimes wish we would have gotten the red Max... How loud does your Max sound with those mufflers? I think i may have to put that other spoiler on the SE...

It only sounds load on the initial launch if you punch it, when she's cruising sounds like a Formula 1. At idle sounds troaty (nice deep sound) nowhere near ricey...

Thanks for the props....

One of my favorite rides too. When I see a Red Op, I sometimes wish I had gotten that color.
