4th Gen spring comparison gallery
Alright, I'd like to put together a 4th Gen spring comparison gallery similar to the page I've already compiled for 5th gens. But I need your help to get this together.
Here's the requirements:
1. Side shot near ground level - no strange angles or odd lighting please.
2. Must have stock 16" '97-'99 SE 5 spoke rims and stock tire size for consistency.
3. Please provide the front and rear ride height by measuring the distance from the ground to the center of the wheel well.
4. If you have a heavy system in the trunk or some other unique situation that distorts the appearance of your drop, please don't participate.
5. Image must be at least 575 pixels wide.
Sorry for all the rules, but it's necessary to assure the page is as accurate a representation as possible. All submissions will be credited with their screen name.
Also, I need a good stock side shot as well. First good shot of each setup posted or sent to my email (housecor at gmail dot com) wins.
Here's my current 5th gen page I'd like to emulate: http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/sp..._decision.html
And of course, I'm open to suggestions for improvement. Thanks in advance guys!

We didn't ever have stock 17" wheels
:..
I think it's a great idea though. For my 5th gen, this helped me decide which springs I wanted.
Just follow the link and see what housecor has done in terms of comparison pics, and we will be good.

Sorry, it's late! Okay, 16" 97-99 5 spokes only. I adjusted the original post...again! Seriously, thanks for keeping me on track.

housecor, your site with the comparison of the springs is great, and your car is awesome. may i offer a suggestion, but its probably better if you arrange the springs and pictures according to how much it lowers the vechicle, but which ever you prefer its cool.
i have 2 pix of canuck motorsports springs, but the lighting is bad IMO. one is sunny with shadows, the other is rainy and cloudy. that and you probabally dont want my 225/50/16 size vs. stock 215/55/16. (i have some measure ments too)

Oh, are you willing to show mix matched and/or cut springs?

Very nice site, I would have sent you some pics but my car then had the 15in sawblade rims on. Hopefully I'll have my car back from Tilley's shop next week and I can snap a few more pics with the 16in SE rims.
these are the rates i have gotten so far
spring rates:
canuck 125f 255r (progressive)
tokico 111-225f 148-295r
h tech 179f 252r (progressive)
s tech 201f 280r (progressive)
eibachs 166-275f 166-343 r
oem se 120f 200r

Thanks for the compliments guys.
"Oh, are you willing to show mix matched and/or cut springs?"
Mix matched would be great, provided the pic meets all the other requirements so people can compare the drop to others. However, no cut springs please - regardless of the fact that it's not recommended, there's no great way to compare cut springs since the process of cutting them could inconsistently change their stance.
JSutter - Thanks for the rates! That's great info. Happen to know if these rates are for 4th gen springs only? And thanks for the pic, but you're right, I'd better hold off to get someone on stock rubber.
For those who don't meet the requirements, I plan to put together an assorted rim, tire, suspension combo gallery where people can view how a wide variety of combinations look. But right now, I'm just looking to get spring comparisons.

I can give you a stock height 15" sawblade 95/96 pic. I see noone has volunteered for it. I know you are asking for 97-99 wheels. But I can take pics today of my 95 Max today and send them. I would really like this to happen because we really dont have anything like the 5th gens do as a reference and using their cars doesnt really help us too much. I hope we are emailing and just not posting in here.

To me it wouldnt matter, as long as we get some takers. I will hopefully have the Tokico suspension kit on my 95 by March. Hopefully. I could take pics of it with my stock 95/96 rims and tires before installing my 17's I have waiting.
i got the illumina set up with the CE/tokico springs on stock 16 in rims. The rims are black tho and its so cold out im not going outside
drink up! I can get that distance tho one day for ya. For the picture, i wish i had something to take that picture with. I will have to find a friend.

i have one, i don't know the ride height cus i have 18s now, do you want me to measure it anyway?? probably not.
Maxspeed:

had i known you were gonna do this when i took the pic, id taken it at a lower angle.
should we include if we're auto or man.?

Okay, the weekend is coming up so I'm bumping this in hopes that a few of you 4th gen owners could snap some shots, take a quick measurement, and help out...
Thanks in advance to all those that can contribute!
