My sister cars has a really bad rattle, it's a 99 maxima. When I'm going about 5-10miles and brake I can hear rattling and I can feel a small viberation through the steering wheel. I checked under the car and saw the Exhaust pipe(y-pipe, cat, and b-pipe) just hanging there. Can that be the problem to the rattling and the vibration through the steering wheel?

The steering wheel never shook before this time.

About how much and how long will it take to repair it? I'm planning on doing it myself so labor should be free.

Too be honest, I don't know why ur steering wheel is shaking, but if I was you, I wouldn't want my exhaust sys. to be dangling like ur saying...fix that first and maybe you'll find out if it is ur exhaust or could be something else???
