Tied for second? Now it's solidly in second, right behind the Vette. How the hell did that happen? Somehow it's beating the GT500, Lambo, Charger, ect.... It's even beating the Civic! Woot!

Haha go figure. My guess would be that the demographic of that websites readers are also the demographic of the leading cars' drivers' age.

I have owned two Maximas and it is one of my favorites because it is the car that works across a large spectrum of car needs. Sporty, roomy, classy, loaded (all Maximas), quiet, decent on gas, good in the snow, blah blah blah. Probably not the best in any one category, but better than all the rest in it's own category. Beats the snot out of Camry, Accord, Taurus (except SHO), Lumina, Intrepid, etc.

What is it about the SHO that the Maxima doesnt beat it on. Ive never owned one or ridin in one. Im just wanting to know for the knowledge.

The engine, period. The older 3.0 that Yamaha made. Even then, it's good, but it's not much better than the VQ30. It just happened to come around before the VQ and be stuffed into a slightly lighter car.

One of my friends had one....$1200 a year in a 'preventative schedule', aside from the regular oil changes and such. The SHO has a yamaha engine if I remember correctly. Never was a big fan of Ford's anyway, certainly won't start with the 'SHO'. It doesn't hold it's resale value any better either. I never caught the "SHO" bug......IMO

Somebody on the Supra forums tried to get them all to vote for the Camry, but he sort of failed. Notice the Camry currently only holds 3% of the votes

I'm going to tell a guy that lives a few miles from here that he should trade his M5 to me for my maxima, and show him this poll on MSNBC to prove what a good deal it would be for him..
