hey 5th genners!!!

hey, im mostley in 2 3rd gen threads, but im looking to buy another max, to replase my 87 se 250,000 mile oldie. i was trying to get Jasons red 92 maxima, but its about impossible for me to come up with 8g quickly. ive been looking into 5th gen's

i like 5.5 gens so ive been on the lookout, at my nissan delarship there was a nice 02 black , black leather, like 50g miles, auto THEY WANTED 18g FOR It

so that was out, and then i seen this
02 maxima 5 miles away from me

so i went and looked at it today, its nice, i can live with the color, it has 163,000 miles so thats kinda bad, and it also has some problems, like - radio is fed up, sunroof wind thing it cracked, fog lights lens is busted, kinda bad scratch on rear, i did drive it it felt good, damm i dent know that it had so much power, my 87 must have like 50 hp. i actually like the auto with the shift stuff on it
anyway for 9g i think its good, because they said i can get it financed in my name !! thats the big part

what do yall think?????

this is a car i can actually buy

should i or not?????? i really wont a 02 or 03 this one is soooo close to me

HELP ME out !!!!!

Darren

It's not a 5.5, but I got my 2000 GLE 5sp for 10g's and it had 54,000 miles on it.

dont worry about the mileage as long as the car has been maintained

If you were able to tell the first deal was bad, why could you not tell how much worse of a deal the second one is. The best advice I can give you is be patient. The worst thing you can do when shopping for a car is rush it. TRUST ME.

I wouldn't buy a 5.5g with that many miles.....the 3.5s with high miles are having some oil problems (not all of them, but alot of the high-mileage 3.5s).

If you are short on cash, find an 01 with lower miles...the VQ30 is still a great engine...

You need to be a little more realistic. You are not gonna find an 02/03 Maxima for 9g's thats in decent shape. Try to find a good 2000/01 with low milage.

Irish def has it right ^

out of all the years for 5th gen the best overall year was 01 (with most problems worked out and AE edition available)

I was reading its description and LOL @ "This car has great gas mileage which is a definite plus with the rising gas prices."

if i get 02 03 i will accept automatic + i want the 3.5

i will wait, but ive been looking for 2 months now, so im going crazy, the main problem im having is i have to get a loan through where i buy the car.

anyone wonna let me make payments to them it would be perfect, but of course no one will

Darren

i think i got screwed over. when i bought my 2000 GLE for 10k, it blue booked at 12k, but now is worth less than 9000, less than 4 months later. the mileage is at 102000 right now. did i get f***ed at the used car lot, or was it a reasonable buy?

i am personally a fan of nissan and definitely a maxima enthusiast. dont let mileage deter you. talk em down a bit and you could be in an 02 quick. but that depends on you and how much u drive.

secondly...check this link out...for 3g's more you caould probably driva away with this 02 max....6SPD!!!!..... LEATHER!!!....its a carbon copy of my whip so you know im a fan!!!..
