new illuminas/springs...have 3 install questions

got illuminas and h techs and putting everything together before install, including strut mounts and all...

1. the "OUT" on the top front mounts doesnt line up with the bottom strut mounting point 100% (shown here in step 10 http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/strut_install.html) mine looks to be about 2 degrees off , is that ok, or does have to line up exactly?

2. why do the rear shoks come with 2 nuts each? are they both for the top of the shock?

3. as for cutting bump stops the front seems to have plenty of traval room (4-5in) the rear only has about 3in, is it absolutly nessisary to cut the rears or will it be ok?

THANX

Not quite sure what you are asking in #1, but it goes together exactly like it came off.

There are two nuts (because that's the way god intended), but really one is a locking nut so to prevent the first one from backing out... Doesn't really work though, I just tightened my rears up, they were pretty loose.

You dont need to cut the bump stops. I didnt with my Eibachs and everything is just fine.

Hope that helps some

yes it is...mine was about 15 degrees off if that helps! haha...it works just fine, but it makes it harder to line them up to fit in the holes....and i would cut the bump stops if i were you...ususally the springs come with a sheet that tells you how much of your bumpstops to cut....and yeah, i think the 2nd bolt is to keep them from backing out, because mine did the other day almost to the point of coming off

I never cut my bump stops and everything is fine. It's totally up to you what you want to do.

1. The "OUT" part doesn't need to be exact. Just make sure to line up the bolts in the right way before decompressing the springs all the way.

2. what they said

3. With h-techs you will want to probably cut the front, but the rear may not be necessary. On the other hand do you really want to take everything apart to cut them in a few weeks? The rears are a pain to cut .5 inches -- I used a small hacksaw to go through the rubber.

I just don't understand this bumpstop cutting stuff. I've been told that they are there for a reason and shouldn't be cut unless the drop is at least 2" or more. I got my votland springs a couple of days ago and I am still decide if I should put them on....
