My 92 SE 5 speed has a problem where sometimes when its idleing it just shuts off, but more the problem is ill be taking off in 1st or 2nd gear and it will suddenly completely cut out for a second or 2 and then go right back to normal, when it does this, If i let go of the gas and hit the gas again, its fine, but when it does this its NOT a hesitation, it COMPLETELY looses all power, then comes right back to normal......on/off affect....any ideas??

there are a lot possible causes of the problem like
low compression,weak sparks.air flow meter.a.a.c.valve etc.
first you can try this : disconect the exhaust gas sensor
go drive and when ok replace it.

Uh ho! Another one bites the dust!! Hopefully not, but this happened to me and it was my Air Flow Meter Sensor. The dealer fixed it and it cost me right around.....$500!

those damn dealerships...

They'll never let you leave unless you spend more than $300 from them.
