Ebay $30-50 a strut, A1 auto is very cheap and quality products, I would do both fronts at the same time or all 4. Usually you can find pairs for $60 plus shipping (brand Gabriel), pay a little more for Monroe. Check your mounts and make sure they are good before reusing them.

i put kyb on my 97 and they are great. i got them thru a fellow maxima.org member who operates internetautomart.com they are better than monroes also maybe cost a couple bucks more but worth it.

and like tim96i30 said, always replace in pairs.

Sorry to hijack this thread but for some reason I cannot start new threads and I don't know why. I lurk on the board all the time and get a lot of good information. This time I have a question I couldn't find the answer for.

My problem is that my springs are making an aweful lot of noise when I am moving slowly like when turning after stopping at a stop sign. The struts and springs are Tokiko Illuminus with Tokiko springs that I purchased from custommaxima.com. Is it normal fo rhte springs to make so much crunching and popping noises or did they install something incorreclty. Any insight is appreciated. Again I would have started my own thread if I could have.

Could be the strut bearings. You might have someone stand outside the car and listen as you turn the wheel both ways. If it makes noise then, its the stut bearings. If not they screwed up putting on your kit!!
