5th gen clutch and 4th gen fidanza flywheel

so im ordering my new clutch and flywheel this weekend. My question is can i use a 5th gen clutch setup with a 4th gen fidanzaflywheel. also is there any other lightweight flywheels to consider and how does the car drive with the lighter flywheel.
anyone have any experiences with this setup?
and is this a good setup to have or is there better?

you can use the 4th gen fidanza with the 5th gen clutch set-up. as far as the rest, i don't really know, here's some posts that may or may not help.

Well, I am currently a Noob on this site, so I can't search or anything. So, I'm gonna rack up using this.

Pertaining to the flyhweel question, is the Vq an internally or externally balanced motor? That's something to take into consideration, if changing the weight of the flywheel alter the balance ratio of your motor, I would not reccomend doing so. It's just a risk, and keep in mind, launching your car will require more RPM due the loss of momentum through rotational mass.

I have it, and just like everyone said, I got flywheel chatter. In first gear only, the flywheel bucks the car a little. So, to alleviate the problem, I have to give it a little more gas than usual. Problem solved. If your a diehard and you want every pony possible, and you don't mind sacrificing some driveability, then go for it. Keep in mind that it will be cheaper to install it now rather than later since you're doing your clutch. Also, the fewer the times the tranny comes apart, the better. Everyone's starting problems are all tranny related, and show a direct correlation with tranny work being done to starting problems occuring.

The Max is not my DD, so I chose to get it since I had to replace my slipping OEM clutch when I added the SC, and I want every pony possible.

I've seen BMW racers with ATF in the manual tranny. But I don't know how if it works well with our cars.

fill your transmission with...

Redline MT-90
or
Amsoil MTG

There both ONLY GL-4 rated.. do NOT get anything GL-5 or a multi grade fluid that says GL-3-4-5 or whatever....

talk to talkinghorse in the group deal section. Great customer service and the cheapest. He knows how many quarts you need. I think it's like 4-5 qts. He'll tell ya. I bought my Amsoil from him.
