Does this sound good? *Brake Pad + Rotor*

Brembo blanks for the front with Hawk Street Pads.

My car has this weird metal sound coming from the front--I believe passenger side. I am guessing it is the rotors. I have never turned them or replaced the pads. I have 44k miles on the car with mixed driving. They may be warped as well since I get a judder when stopping from 70mph-->20mph. Instead of resurfacing them, I will just replace them. If it matters, I don't autox with this car but I do on occassions do drive a little over the limit?

Thanks in advance! (oh i did search using google site:forums.maxima.org) but could not find the info I needed )

Is there a how-to in the faq? I looked but could not find it. If there is, just point me in the direction and I'll look agian.

Once again, thanks in advance!

why replace them when you can just cut the rotors? if they are fairly new, no need to have them replaced man.

I never cut rotors, I always just replace them.

Hawk HPS pads are great, they will work good with any blank. BlackbirdVQ runs $20 Napa's and he loves them.

BTW: you did not search to hard, this has been hashed over 20 times the last few months.

Just found the how to as a sticky. Thanks guys. I'm going to do a little research on resurfacing them and weigh out the pros/cons.

I guess if it's a repost that is covered frequently, a moderator can lock this. :/

I was in elementary school when I lived there. I do remember Austin St. though. It has the Midway theatre nearby and now there is a Barnes & Noble. Good times.

Rego Hills ftw! =D

I have this same issue btw if I punish my brakes and heat them up rapidly.

I had Brembo OEM replacement blanks on my previous car (98 olds intrigue). I had them on all 4 corners for about 6000miles and they were great, I would recommend them.
