on the stock intake scoop, theres a seperate section which is attached to the scoop and on the curved part.. hard to explain, but it doesnt look like it does anything so i was just wondering what this does.

Also what does the white box do below the scoop?

 

people refer to it as a silencer. So I guess it makes it a bit quieter...
