if you do choose to resurface, a machine shop could probably do it for a fair price. Make sure they step it right for the new clutch disc. When I had mine replaced by the dealer, they told me they didn't resurface it because it didn't need it. I want to believe them, but if I had any say in it I would have done it. If the clutch disc is worn enough, the little rivets in the friction plate will eat into the flywheel, in which case it needs to be resurfaced. I guess it all depends on the amount of wear that is present.

Mines never been the same since my tranny was overhauled. I wish they hadn't resurfaced it. Now I have a slight vibration from 800-1000 rpms.

No abnormal on the flywheel so I just sanded it down. No problems with the clutch performance that I can tell.
