very nice, was it someones on here? it has to be..

that car really should be a manual.. you should do a tranny swap. that would keep your mod bug under control

you should just email him and ask him what his reserve is, see if he'll sell it to you right now for his reserve, he might bite

Yeah I love this car too, minus all the stickers for Evolution etc...

This is Shadow's car... he has a for sale thread in the, well, the for sale section, its probably a few pages in by now.

that was one of the first turbo max's...the only thing that throws me off is the auto tranny, and the fact it says 'turbocharged vG30de'

nice car anyhow.

I don't think it was one of the first turbo charged maxima's, he was probably one of the first SuperCharged maxima's though, I believe he swaped to the turbo setup not to long ago. Not sure what the vG30De is all about unless it was a typo or something who knows. The Auto tranny shouldn't throw you off at all. There seems to be some pre-conceived notion that Auto's don't lay down the power. When in reality the difference is minimal depending on the build if all in how you do it. I believe the ebay page says 368whp? There aren't to many 5spd turboed maximas out there that lay down 368whp..also as far as I know his engine is stock as is the auto tranny where as most of the 5spd are built up.

I dont think your going to have much competition to buy, 13k is a lot for a 97 max, no matter what is done to it.
There isnt a preconcieved notion that autos dont lay down power its that they're not as fun to drive.

Same setup on a 5speed WILL yeild more power to the ground.

Less moving parts, less drivetrain loss.

its a nice car, but i would never buy a car that had an aftermarket turbo or supercharger on it, or one that had an engine swap unless i did it myself. all it means is that hes beaten the hell out of the car. or i would if i had mine boosted. plus its auto, booo!

do what you want, but how long do you think that car is gonn last you?

Show me a nissan maxima stock auto tranny that can hold any type of decent power before it starts slipping badly. Why do you think no one keeps their stock auto after a 3.5 swap? can't hold the power. 5spds, however, don't need to be built up...can hold alot more power.

Are you serious? Jeff has this one built. It can hold up better than most 5sp's because you don't have to deal with the weakness of the TO bearing and the 3rd gear. Please. Think before you post.
