Should I get the strut mounting nuts from Nissan, or will Hardware store nuts

I realized I ordered the wrong nuts to replace the ones that had to be cut in order to remove my stock strut, and I'm wondering if it's necessary to get those nuts from Nissan, or will hardware strore nuts be sufficient? Yes, they may not look "stock", but this isn't a show car. In order to get these nuts, I will have to wait until Monday, and take a 4 cyl 4Runner on a 45min -1 hour trip to the closest Nissan dealership, which is something I'm not exactly looking forward to. Ideally, I would walk into the hardware store, and ask for the strongest nut they have that fits the mount I will bring in, and maybe it will look similiar to the stock nuts. Does anyone see this as a problem? (Using non-Nissan nuts for the front strut mounts)

I'd save my $$$$ and go to the hardware store, also you'll save gas and time!

Shouldn't be a problem, how about taking them from a junkyard max?

I think the hardware store will ask what's the application. The thread may work, but it would suck if the nut's weak. Look in FSM to see what grade u need before going to the hw store.

I couldn't find a match at the hardware store, so I have to go to Nissan tomorrow. Oh well, might as well do it right once.
