Clutch master cyl?
Clutch master cyl?
ok so i've got a stainless line going straight from the clutch master to the slave (did the auto-5spd conversion and did this instead of the stock two-bleeder hardline.). we are trying to bleed the clutch however we seem to be getting no fluid going through the lines. its almost as if the master cyl is just pumping air through ever though we see no bubbles come up through the res.
1) tested the master cyl out of the car. (filled res with fluid, pushed piston in, put thumb over hose line, let piston out, took thumb off, pushed piston in and fluid comes out. (is this how it should act?)
2) slave seems to be fine it responds to pressure created from a source other than the master cyl.
can anyone suggest something?

i'll give it a whirl... thanks for the tip. being that a new master cyl is roughly 80 bucks locally, do you think its worth it to replace it anyway? I mean if the master is faulty i guess i would see no fluid come through... and i guess its also a question of money... i guess i answered my own question lol
I put a new master cylinder in not too long ago, all you need to do to get the fluid thru is fill up the master cyl with fluid then loosen the bleeder valve and let gravity pull the fluid down through the master cyl. then you can begin bleeding.
