Got my car back from the service dept. this evening. They re-programmed per the fuel cut TSB, and also installed the fuel-filler splash guards. All at no cost to me, of course and no hassle at all about the guards...I didn't even have to ask for it to be done for free.

However, when I turned the car in for service, I provided them with screen prints from both of the threads on this forum discussing each of the problems. They actually read the stuff, and THANKED me for it...said "...the information you sent along was very helpful..." Particularly since MY car was the FIRST they had serviced in response to the TSB, AND the first to raise the issue of the fuel-filler guards.

Goes to show that this forum is invaluable...can't say enough how positive this exchange of information is. Without this forum, I would have never known of these issues, and they would have never mentioned it, I'm sure.

by the way, relative to the fuel-cut problem, I think I can tell a difference in the response, but was hard to tell since it really reveals itself in the stop-and-go morning/evening commute traffic. I'll know for sure tomorrow whether the re-programming made any noticeable difference; although like I said, I think I can tell a change in the response of the throttle. I shall see...

thanks!
