Quick tire question

Im posting here bc i need a quick answer and the Tire/Wheel section doesnt get alot of attention. Anyway, will 225 width tires fit on the stock SE 5 spoke rims and if so what profile is best. Save the "wrong forum" BS for yo mommas, noobs. Post helpful info - thanks guys.

i dont think so

isnt the stock rim only 6" wide?

I think you need a wider rim than that to put on 225's but I'm not 100%

the stock 16 is 16x6.5. 225/50 is perfect.

yes they will fit in size 225/50/16 or something like 225/55/16 but you will have some tire buldge, because the stock 5 spoke SE rim is 16 x 6.5 and you really need a 16 x 7.0 for a better fit. Im running this size (225/50/16) on a 16 x 7.5 wheel and its a perfect setup. you can do it, but it would be just as good or better to run the stock tire which is 215/55/16 i think, not sure. but yeah it wont hurt.

225/55 16 is too tall and will throw off your speedo. 225/ 50 16 is really close in size to 215/55 16. I have run 225/50 16 on the Se 5 spokes and they looked good , not ballooned out at all.

well i ended up getting the 225/55/16s - they do balloon slighty but I think it actually looks a little more agressive that way. So far the rides great and I hope it continues - thanks again guys.
