Use this site to educate yourself on bolt pattern, offset, etc. and then choose a wheel size. You can do a genral search on the Web and find that there is a huge market for custom wheels. I hope this helps. http://maxmods.dyndns.org/?MaximaWheels

Bolt pattern is 114.3 or 4.5". Try so stay with light wheels. You can get 17" wheel w/tire that ways 37lbs. Stock 02 17's weigh 50lbs. Stock 15" steelies w/tire weigh 40lbs.

You will notice a difference in acceleration when using a heavy wheel setup.

I got mine from tirerack.com, got some nice rims and summer tires for $600 shipped, mounted/balanced for free. They also come with lugnuts (although they only shipped 16, but I already had a set of locking) and centering rings.

I understand that heavier wheels would make for slower acceleration. But does the size make a big difference? It seems to me like accelerating with 16's would be faster than accelerating with 18's. Is this true?

Your gearing will only change with overall diameter. Wheel weight also will affect your ride. When you change to a lower profile tire, the stiffer sidewall will transmit more shock from bumps/cracks ect to the suspension. The lighter wheel is eaiser for the suspension to control improving handling and helping make up for the stiffer sidewall. I have run wheels 10lbs heavier and noticed the ride more than the acceleration.

Preference in wheel Style, Size, Brand, Type, are in your court, It all depends if you want to sacrafice performance for looks or vice versa. I went for the visual affect the wheels give. I feel as if the fender wells are so big and I needed decent looking wheels that would fill them. I don't race my car so 1/4 mile times don't mean $h*t to me. Everyone is going to give you they're opinion, it all depends on what you want Speed/Looks. Good Luck:

That seems like a good price. What size? Show some pic's, now you got my attention.

I know the bigger the wheel the more ground you're covering. So i would think the bigger the wheel the faster.

They're 15's, only because I had just about $600 to play around with. 15x6, with Sumitomo HR200's, high performance summer tires.

I needed tires and figured I might as well get rims as well, heh. Great thing is that incase of a blowout or something, I can use one of my OEM sawblades as a full size spare.

Yea, when I come across a fair bit more money I'm probably going to get some nice black 17's with a machined lip (I love rims like that for some reason on any car) with nice tires, and sell these to make some money back.

But functionality was first for me, looks second. I also kept in mind the full size spare thing, and being able to use the stock donut in the trunk with these.

Heh. Everyone's got their own opinions, I guess.

I like black w/ machined lip, some like 14 foot spoilers and triple chrome altezzas on Civics.

im lowered on tein s-techs...2.2 in the front, 1.8 in the rear...going with larger wheels and not lowering will make your car look even more jacked up...so I would say look into gettin a nice drop to compliment the wheels....good luck and post pictures with whatever route you go

I got my rims off wheelmax.com. They are very light cast aluminum, but extremely easy to dent (which I haven't) because they are cast and not forged. New with tires, shipping, lugs, wheel locks balancing, etc was $700. That was with 4 rims and 4 Kumho Ecsta summer tires.

I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend them, but I didn't have a bad experience there. Also, if the rim you want isn't on special, wait a week, it will be.

Sorry, I don't have a pic on the car, but here's a link to the wheel. I know someone else on the .org has them also--or really similar.

http://www.wheelmax.com/wheelcolors....0&color=Silver

They are 17 X 7's... so, no--not 15's.
