G35 rims on a 00 SE

So i'm thinking of buying the G35 coupe rims and slapping them on my 00 SE but i still want a smooth ride, i'm not really into the racing and i live around plenty pot holes, has anyone sucessfully put on 235/45/18s? or 235/50/18? Or does anyone know of a tire which has an extra layer of belt to resist discomfort and rim damage? Another thing is has anyone bought the rims from EBAY the ones that look like the G35? are they ****ty?

There is a Sticky on this in the Wheel and Tire forum. Take a look at that and it'll answer most of your questions.

You can fit 245-40-18 but you will get very minimal rubbing if you are lowered.
