Some guy e-mailed me to ask few questions about my car. He also mentioned he runs 13.6 with out Nitrous in his 98GLE. If you are out there, let us know what mods you are running?

I hope he ment 14.6..>
because that is what I run without slicks. 13's are impossible to hit without any help. Maybe he installed the
new 3.5 liter Pathfinder motor and does not think of that
as a mod. You asked him if he was supercharged right?

o.k., i was hoping i can 'read' into
what 'NA' meant by the content of a lot of the posts, but can't figure it out. now my ignorance must come out... what does 'NA' stand for... doh.
I have to say thats BS. The only way to that ET would mean at least a 103mph trapspeed with slicks. NSX's finish the 1/4 around 105-108mph, so he would need at least 260hp at the wheels. Unless he is reving it to 8000rpm, he is lying. There is no way to run 13's without a power adder or NOS. Now a fully built toppend VQ 5spd might make it but, the cost of porting/polishing heads, custom regrinds, tuning, bigger injectors is alot.

He didn't say if he's supercharged. When he said 13.6 without Nitrous, I assume he's running NA. I e-mailed him, so I'll see.

Does that involve a motor swap, a typo, serious headwork + race gas or just crack?
13.6 AUTO is awesome if it's really possible, but while I can imagine a VQ30DE being converted to a VQ34DE (a la Dave Colemna's fantasizing in the latest SCC issue), I haven't seen it done yet......

I don't think a 13.6 NA with auto is possible

To run a 13.6 NA with an auto would require some serious work, well into the thousands of dollars, or at the least would require that the car be tuned to a 1/4 mile car, running slicks, skinnys, bags in the suspension and other sorts of race-only goodies.

i dont know about 13's NA in an auto, but 14s are definitely possible. i am almost there, just a couple of more mods, and i should be able to get into the 14s. maybe high 14s, but its still not bad for an n/a auto! wasn't don running an auto when he got his 14.2?
