Budget Y-Pipe

I'm am about to order a budget ypipe in a few days. I did lots of reading and research for a while and saved some money and believe the SS ypipe from them is the best deal for ME. Anyway I have a 2k 5spd and only other mod is Cattman CAI, and was thinking of having them toss in a test pipe too. My Question is that how will this sound with the stock exhaust on? Should I bother putting on the test pipe? My good friend just got a 6spd 02 max (stock), can I beat him on a 1\4 mi strip? Any help thanks, I am looking foward to feeling the wonderful power of a ypipe I have been dreaming of for the past year!!!

I have had the Place Racing CAI with the Budget y pipe for about a year and a half and I love it. I have the stock exhaust and I always get compliments about the real low rpm exhaust note and of course once you get on the gas it sounds very mean. I had the CAI alone at first and the Y Pipe made it much more throaty and deeper especially at WOT. Good luck!

Assuming equal driving ability and tire traction, no.

I would never buy anything from Budget after seeing SOONR1's multiple terrible experiences with them....my 2 cents.

Cattman ypipe, if you want quality and good service.

There is always somebody with a bad experience from every company. My experience with Budget was great. They always answered any questions I had quickly and shipped the product very fast. It all depends on the situation, and sometimes exceptions to the standards of the company are singled out and get blown out of proportion. I'm not defending one company or another as I have purchased multiple items from Cattman and been very happy but just wanted to relay that my experience with Budget was great and the y-pipe is still in good condition with no fitment problems.

Cool thanks guys for the advice. I think I will still give budget a chance, if I have fitament issues I will prob send it back and not have them send another. Hopefully in the year since SOONER's incident it would have been resolved. I will def let max.org know how it comes out whe I recieve it. Kruppa your car looks awesome, I have the same color. Thanks for all your help!!!
