Can I run 17x8 rims with 245/45/17 without any fitment problems? One of the tires on the rims I might get is pretty well worn from burnouts on a V6 Stang. The other tires have about 70% tread left. I might think about downgrading to 235/45/17 Khumo's if the tires on there don't fit. I know this has probably been asked many times, but I can't find anything with the search function. Thanks for any advice.

Yes

From what I've seen on this forum those will work. It's the 245 18's that you might have some fitment/rubbing issues.

Yes you can run 245s with 17x8's and the search funtion will tell you that as a general rule if you are upgrading from stock 16s you get 235/45/17s and if you are upgrading the stock 17s you get 245/45/17s, this it to keep your spedometer straight, both sizes fit perfectly on 17x8 wheels. also if you get 245/45/17s as a replacement for stock 16s your speedometer will be off by 1.7% which you will never (99% of the time) notice.
The uneven wear on the tires will cause uneven handling, this is why it's important to rotate tires.
