after installing my white faced overlays and SY's aluminum bezel and chrome rings, which look PHENOMENAL (will post pics later), i noticed all of my guages except Tacometer work wrong. They are not "calibrated" correctly i suppose. I used the same procedure for all 4 guages, which all work, just read wrong (Ex. speedo reads 20mph and i am doing 40mph, temp is 1/4-higher than normal, gas guage is over full but i only have 3/4 of a tank). Is there any way that i can recalibrate them of do i have to purchase a new guage cluster? If i have to purchase one, does anyone know the best place to buy a 97-99 (analog, auto) SE (already white) cluster. I hope i can just recalibrate them, or take it somewhere to do so, thank you in advance

There is no provision for recalibrating the gauges.

Did you remove the Combination Meter from the dashboard to install these overlays? If so, you disconnected the Flexible Printed Circuit. Perhaps this connector was not properly reconnected. That could affect the readings of most, if not all, the dashboard gauges.

I had this happen to me.

Did you remove the whole needle from the gauges?, I really can't tell from what you are saying in your post, but I've got a good felling that you did, I did this once and had a hard time getting these gauges to work right. What you have to do is take one at a time, you will have to drive your car with out the clear plastic that covers the gauges. I would first start out with the gas, fill your gas tank up and place the needle just over the full marks(to put the needle into it's position you would have to have all of the connectors plugged in, have the car running, slightly and very carefully pull the needle partially out and slide it into the position it should be in), after that one I would try the temp gauge, drive around for a moderate period of time and place the needle at it's usual position. Now here come the hard ones, I would recommend that you first set the tachometer, at it's normal operating temp it should be running at about 700 rpms, to set the speed you will have to do it with the vehicle in motion. Be very careful when doing this, I did this on a solitary toll road, you have to find out what speed your engine would be running in top gear, since mine is an auto, and if I remember correctly, my cars engine at 60 mph in fourth gear would running at 2100 rpms.
