I just got a '01 Maxima SE and think I going to go ahead and get the "XPEL PROTECTION." It will cost me $275 installed for the bumper, hood, lights, and mirors. For the people who have it, tell me this is worth the money!!! I decided against the black bra because of the extra hassle involved. I like the look of the black bra, but I am too lazy to use it properly.

In short.

Yes! I got it and its great. Just get a couple of coats of wax on the pain first.

Once you get it, get wax on the film ASAP because if you get stuck in a bug storm, you will be spending some time cleaning it. Once you get some wax on the film, bug cleaning is a breeze.

And remember, always wax in a linear motion from front to back around the film edge. Otherwise you will be busting out the q-tips and cussing the cleaning you will have to be doing to get the wax outta the edge. If you wax properly, you wont see the film unless your within 5 feet of the car.

Re: In short.

Is that price ok. I see you have a sterling mist car. Do you have any pics? How long have you had it?

The price is good as long as....

The application is good. I paid 330 in Cincy and he did a hell of a job. A lot of complex curves that require lots of work to get them to lay(lie?) correctly without bubbles. I did not get the lamps done for that price. So it would seem that you have a good deal.

Don't have pics because it really does not show up well in the pics as to how it really looks (read: you cannot see it in pics). I had another user come look at my car and his comment was "wow, you really can't see it unless you are close to the car". You can see it at certain angles but it is way better than I was expecting. And I am pretty **** about my car. My wife calls me a car snob!

When the car is all waxed up, it looks great. If its been in the rain and foul weather, you will see it more because the edgeline on the hood shows more becuase of the dirt.

Definitely a great price for what you're getting. I'd encourage it as well. Too bad I didn't put wax on mine right away but I've luckily avoided any mishaps. Looking forward to the pics.
