Redlinemax.com, anyone know of anything going on?

I'm trying to be patient and understanding with Corey over at Redlinemax.com, but my patience is starting to run a little thin...

I ordered a Cattman/Progress Rear Sway-Bar and Clear Bumper Lights from Corey because he had the best price. I was "hoping" I'd get the parts by the following weekend. Order was placed early AM on 4/7/06. I was hoping I'd have the parts to install with the rest of the stuff I ordered over easter weekend.

I called on Tuesday (4/11) just to ask a status update, and Corey took my info, said he'd look into it and call me back... he didn't.

I called again on Thursday (4/13) again just to ask an update... I'm not expecting to the stuff to have arrived, or necessarily shipped, I just want to know, what's the status... i.e. "its ordered", or "I've placed the order, I'm waiting on confirmation", "it will be a week before it ships", something... I reach Corey again finally and give him all the info, again. He says he tried to call me back and couldn't reach me (not true, I didn't have a missed call from him on my phone, or a voicemail, and I always have my phone on me) but he tells me he needs to change the order status to shipped from pending as the order has indeed shipped, he just has issues with his shipping notifications getting mixed up or "something". Somewhat understandable I think at the time. He says he'll email the tracking number when he gets the correct one for my order...

Anyway, since then, I've emailed Corey a few times, simply asking again "Could I get a status update", not "where's my crap" or anything... I even sent him a PM here... no reply. Nothing. Order is still "Pending" on their website.

Am I assuming to much to get an honest status update on an order from a Forum Sponsor? I mean I understand how drop shipments and reselling works... he obviously doesn't stock the stuff, but can't he at least give an honest update on the status?

I guess I'll call again this afternoon and see whats going on.

I'd seen a few posts about his new shop... but the guy has had daily forum activity... =( I just hope it doesn't take a month to get my parts. I'll call him again this afternoon as I said and see what's going on. I'm a rather patient person, when I'm giving good information... but I don't like to just be left hanging... =(

Thanks for the reply

I ordered a tv from the group deal section from redlinemax a few months back. I called and everything to order, but my TV never came. I didn't get charged either, so I didn't say anything and didn't bother to re-order. No harm done, and not saying anything bad about the company, but yea my order never got processed.

There are guys in the GD forum waiting on their Carbon Fiber hoods from him. He has not been their for at least a week or two.

I'd call him again. According to Digital in that thread. Due the following. Your stuff will eventually get there.

I wouldn't care if he lost a leg and his house got blown up there should be AT LEAST SOMETHING from him saying what's going on. If he had told you he was busy while moving shop etc instead of you having to hear about it on a forum that would be different. Instead like you said you are left hanging and from the sounds of it everyone else has been too.

I don't know about the rest of you but this kind of thing never happens with a reputable company. I doubt you would find Best Buy or maybe even a smaller place like Radio Shack just taking orders and not getting back with anyone. Even if its just to advise problems or what have you.

I'm even more careful when it comes to Internet purchases since most of the time there isn't a brick and motar shop you can walk into and give people hell. Instead you get ignored e-mails and lame a$$ "cannot reach your phone number" excuses.

I'm never going to shop at redlinemax because of this thread. Doesn't matter if they get better in the future, this just isn't acceptable to me and I just happen to believe in the an excellant level of customer service.

I am not here to defend anyone...but it is important to know that things to happen and sometimes, ones life and family can take precedence over other things....Kaz, I would try to contact him again today, but this is definately good feedback for others....

I would have to agree, although not just because of this thread. Looks like they kind of take their customers for granted. Not the type of company I'm interested in giving my hard earned money to.

I've had trouble with them as of late, but I'm supposedly still getting my stuff.

I ordered a y-pipe back on 3/2

But enough about this, wrong section.

Sorry for the thread locale point violation... but I figured the 4th Gen members would have more to say than the Vendor Feedback forum... but I wasn't really trying to get/create vendor feedback... I was more trying to get response/opinion/knowledge in reference to the company as of late, but again, sorry for the violation (if it is one anyway).

Thanks for the replies.

And I'm understandable about life getting in the way of things, business or personal, but you still shouldn't leave your customers in the dark. Especially in todays day and age of the internet, he's active on the forum and knows members and could have stated "something" if that was the case... its sounding more like this is common practice for RedlineMax, and it shouldn't be my responsibility as a customer to badger the shop about getting order status updates... =( I'll call after lunch though for an update, hopefully I'll have something positive to respond with then.

I'll just keep my mouth shut til the end of the week to see if I get my y-pipe. If not, there will be problems, that's all I'll say.

Sorry guyz we have been extremely backed up lately with our new moved and a former employee screwing up about 450 orders. It seems like everything is crashing @ the same time. Verizon has been horrible with the phones, and internet.

We would appreciate if everyone would bare with us, we are tackling these problems as they arise.

We appologize and value all of our customers, but right now its just me and corey doing ALL the work and the order processing.

Please understand we value our customers and will take care you all, SORRY AGAIN...

Well I called at Chunie's request and he tried to look things up (stated he was just setting his PC up to get online) and asked that I email him my information in reference to the order (I forwarded my order confirmation) and that he would get back to me... =/ We'll see how well that goes. I'll be calling back on Wednesday...

Wow. That means absolutely nothing. He told me the same thing weeks ago (about getting his PC setup), told me he was gonna email me (never did), told me he'd get back to me (never did), yadda yadda...

same here. and does this mean im not getting my hood or what?
i was told i would get an email...and i didnt. didnt get a phone call like promised either.
so for all i know im waiting for an order that wasnt really processed either. well it was processed enough for me to be out 410 bucks. im sure that was the most important part anyhow.
sorry that stuff is hectic at redline, but yeah, i was told carbonefx was shipping it, not redline, so whos hands is it actually in?
and why hasnt there been any update? if you can update now why not update in the threads in the GD section where people are wondering where their **** is. i mean, at least to hold on to your reputation....
am i missing something? (Besides my hood)

Yeah...warpspeed is handling my order apparently, too, not Redline. Hey, who knows, we sure don't...they don't tell us anything.

Too bad it takes someone tipping you off that some org members are getting steamed about the shoddy customer service before something is said. Stating that you value your customers comes off as lip service when you back it up with poor communication and slow slow slow shipping.

Honest business practice would have a statement on the website about your current move and that orders will take longer than normal to fill. Taking orders you know you won't be able to fill on time isn't valuing the customer, it's taking them for granted imo.

I had the same issues when I bought some stuff when Corey first took over. I got everything but communication and speed of delivery were not great. They are still some of the best prices for .org members so I don't complain. Keep calling and try to contact them.

I've order the Stillen body kit from Corey last September and it didn't arrive until December. That's after numerous phone calls and emails and PMs. But then again, I can't complain cause he gave me a good price on it.

All I'm saying is, there better be a y-pipe on my front porch by the end of the week or I'm filing fraud.

Are we going to be receiving any consolidation for what we've gone through? I would assume not but I figured its worth a shot.

I believe the word you were looking for is conciliation, as in:

1. To overcome the distrust or animosity of; appease.
2. To regain or try to regain (friendship or goodwill) by pleasant behavior.
3. To make or attempt to make compatible; reconcile.

The word I'm looking for has something to do with getting something back for all the trouble and hassle.

So my order has said "shipped" on their website since last week. I call them today to see what's up, and I'm told they don't even know if my order is shipped...just that it SHOULD be shipped by the end of the week or possibly has already been shipped. They don't handle my y-pipe, warpspeed has to ship it out, but honestly...can't they keep better tabs on things than this? They claim they are "finally caught up with their orders."

I'm supposed to be getting a call back this evening about a tracking number and/or whether it was shipped AND an email. Awesome. Guarantee I won't get a call OR email. I'm also willing to bet it hasn't been shipped and probably won't get shipped.

I retract my previous statement and pose this one: if I don't have a tracking number or some sort of ACTUAL confirmation that my pipe was shipped by the end of the week, I'm filing fraud. As soon as I'm done posting this, I'm gonna go and call them over and over til they get it done and let me know SOMETHING.

Wrong forum. Try here next time, and there is already a thread going there too... http://forums.maxima.org/forumdisplay.php?f=13

Oh but you already know that since you double posted FTL: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=469016

One other thing I want to address. While Corey and the gang may be making some mistakes don't think it doesn't happen at a million other places including Best Buy and Radio Shack. I get crappy service everywhere. It is the few and far between times I get good service that I have something to post about. Crying to each other on this forum seems to be a waste to me since this topic has been beaten to death lately.

look.. they had a huge scam problem with this guy (think his name was michael) he ran off with a bunch of money from a ton of orders. Apparently Corey is trying to resolve this issue but we're talking ballpark figure of 500 or 1500 (can remember) orders scammed, but anyways.
