4.5gen BEST 3 of 8 at Capitol 4/14/06

It was about 75 F. during the day and cooled of to 68 or so later that night.

I've never been to the track before this time, but I'm happy with my results. Pulled a 14.06 my first run.

4th run:
60': 2.195
330: 6.017
1/8: 9.116
MPH: 79.28
1/4: 13.961
MPH: 101.55

5th (BEST RUN):
60': 2.085
330: 5.801
1/8: 8.862
MPH: 80.33
1/4: 13.672
MPH: 101.94

7th run:
60': 2.166
330: 6.008
1/8: 9.076
MPH: 80.16
1/4: 13.878
MPH: 102.12

I have Cattman headers, cattman fast cat, budget b pipe 2.5", straight through N1 style muffler, TS 3.0 ECU. I ran on street tires. Ecsta asx 225/55/16 at 25psi. Smoked them a tiny bit every time I got to the staging area. I got worse and worse wheel hop as the night progressed. I wonder if that has to do with how many cars ran by that time of the night.I hooked up really well on my 13.6 run with mild wheel spin and maybe an hint of hop. I'm not sure how much the ecu is helping, but it must be, cuz I don't have my VI rpm switch working yet. Still need to get a UDP or lightweight crank pulley cuz mine is wobbly. I think launching was made easier because I had no rpm switch. I launched at 2.7 -3K Not sure if i slipped the clutch or not though. I think I just dropped it hard and fast every time. I was trying to figure a good RPM to launch at. I will figure out all the details next time.

Great times buddy! If you can replicate that kind of 60', you'll be golden

Don't forget about that run where you trapped over 103

You should be proud. 13.6 on STREET TIRES (not even DRs, street tires) is an awesome #. Those tires are very sticky if you were able to hook a 2.0 60'. Congratulations

I guess the track did hook then........ Excsta asx are not the stickiest though. they are rated at 440 tread wear. I even noticed that they felt less stickey than the dunlop sp sport a2 I had before(but they wear out in 9 months)

Actually I was there when he ran. I have the video and I'll tell you one thing it sounds good. I'll try to post it up when I get home today. Its not the best quality though because my little brother was taping.

who all did he race ? and yeah the video make one and upload it to www.youtube.com that seems to work real good. i like how that 3.5 sounds inside and out of the car, makes the 3.0 sound weak.

did you race the green lantern ? i have a friend over here who races an auto, how can he get a 2.1 60 foot like you, if you have time just send me a pm so we wont do any topic hijacking !

Oh man, I didn't know you had a video of me running. Definitly post that. I'm kind of curious to see what it looks & sounds like from outside the car.

I added a clip of me at the end of the video. They had turned the boards off because it started lightning. I had more runs but they all came out like crap. That was 95maxrider running against the mustang and he lost by inches. It looked like otranscendental won almost all his races.

I guess you can't see it in the video, but I actually beat that 05 GT. He ran a 14.8 at 97 to my 14.7 at 96 I got a better launch than he did...2.2 to 2.3

Well, I don't think his trap speed is too far off from normal. I'll blame it on th driver.

maybe it was a 4.0 liter v6 and hey no shame in that v6 vs v6! a race is a race and you got that one, but the new gt should be able to crush the 14.8 second barrier?

anyways great times and cool video !

Yes, the new GTs should be around a 13.8. I really doubt that V6 is trapping higher than my car. Probably just a poor driver, judging by his 2.3 60'.

Oh I was going by the light on top of the boards. His came on first but you did get a faster time. I dont know how that works but it should say who won at the bottom of your slip.
