Is it safe to go with an aftermarket fuel filter vs OEM?

Who here is running an aftermarket fuel filter instead of OEM? They are only a fraction of the price compared with OEM (like $10 at Canadian Tire vs $35 at the local Nissan dealership). Any cons?

Thanks

that is also okay to go with aftermarket, i have ran 2 after markets and never had any problems. oem might be alittle better, but $35 and the amount you change it is still not that bad. go ahead a instal a 300zx filter, it will last longer.

I sencond the 300zx fuel filter on maxima/I30s little bigger than the oem filter, so it should last longer and filter the fuel better.

Fuel filters should be changed every 30K. Anything more frequent is simply one's **** side taking over.

I had an aftermarket fuel filter installed six months ago for Cdn$29.95 plus tax at LubeWorld and it is working just fine. The guy cleaned the throttle body at the same time and didn't charge me for it.

if you buy a 300zx filter, does it just fit right in place? if so, what year should you get?
