More like "destroyed by the guy that decides to run from the cops"...

Everybody knows that if the cops have to come get you, they're bringing as *** kicking with them.

Wonder if it was that guy a year or so back that got into some chase with a van and started weaving through residential areas at 100mph and thought it was cool

No way!!!

I have been in the The Police Impala and the Crown Vic Intercepor both with the full police package and non of them can keep up with the Maxima no matter how good the Police Officer is, those cruisers just dont have the HP to keep up a sustained high speed pursuit. Not to mention the amount of drag added with the cherries and roobars, and extra weight.

Then again the suspect could have been a total chicken **** and 90MPH seemed fast to him

Kami... police cruisers dont need to have to be able to keep up with a car like ours... They wouldnt even need to necessarily chase in cruisers when you've got 1 or 2 police helicopters and 5 news choppers following overhead.

I watched the whole thing on Fox as it happened. Yeah, the dude was not going very fast, but he was kinda in heavy traffic. He really got caught on the turn ramp were he wouldn't push the Max, not dropped on springs and the police car got inside him on the turn and just nudge the tail end to spin the Max out.

Owning a Maxima cool. Running from the police in it

Yes in LA, what about smaller places that dont have police choppers? You never hear about it because no new choppers...... and police are embarrased to say they couldnt nab a suspect. Thats the unfortunate part of not having copters, sometimes retards like this one can get away from you. O well serves him right.

Running from the police is stupid to begin with. Not only are you risking your life, but chances are that you will cause harm to others or other peoples personal property (cars) because you are an *** to try and run.

Dodge Magnums with a hemi couldn't keep up with a max?? I think they can......and that is the new police interceptor here.

Fakk him, he deserved what he got. Well at least there is an extra salvage car for us to get parts from. Who willing to contact LAPD to find out what wreck yard its going too?

Yikes! It looks exactly like mine! They did a number on that car. Wow. Got to tell you it handles like a dream during high speed police chases.

Need to paint that fuggly chrome

Now I'm 100% positive that I need to paint the chrome mouldings on my car. It looks fugly from above, kind reminds me of an hour glass moving through traffic. A fat hour glass at that, or a beer glass flying on black tarmac.

On a side note, the Maxima was going much faster then 90mph. At one point you see him pass by a semi in less then one second. So if you take into account the lenght of a semi divide it by time you will see his speed.

I'm not sure what the lenght of a semi with a box trailer is, but anyone want to chime in?

Yeah - I agree he looked to be going faster than 90 at times. He was PASSING cars at a high rate of speed. Anyone that drives in So Cal knows that if you are going 80 you are just barely keeping up with traffic.

I ride my motorcycle normally at around 90 all the time and I have cars, SUV's and even Minivans literally FLYING past me all the time. It's ridculous out here...

I was surprised that he slowed down at that turn. He could have made the chance a little longer.
