Leather care question

Hey guys, i know tis might be simple, but i want to know if anyone has tried this. I want to dye the leather of my car seats(black) and was thinking of using good old shoes dye. What do you guys think? Is it a good idea? Did it last? If no one has tried it, i'll give it a shot tomorrow and let u all know. I'll come back to check later and see what is said.

Man good luck with that.... I suppose with black it could look good but that's still a lot of surface to cover.
