05 SL driver seat "c-r-e-e-a-k"

05 SL 25K with a "creak" sound that seems to be coming from the right side of the driver seat, where seat bottom meets with back. I cannot make the noise happen by pushing on seat cushion, moving seat back around, etc, but it is pretty predictable for it to occur with driver's body weight shifts slightly when accelerating, braking or turning. Dealer replaced tracks; sound went away for about 4K; it's back. This is not a "normal" sound; it's pretty obvious and others in the car hear it, too. I wonder if the dealer will be taking the seat out when I bring the car in for the power cable recall.

I am taking my car in this week for the seat recall and subframe. I had a sound similar to what you are describing. I just lubed up the seat rails with white grease while moving the seat back/forward/up/down. Haven't heard it since. Hope this helps.

i have the same problem with my SL.. i only have 16K miles.. im pretty sure it happens only when i turn or when the seat rubs against the arm rest or next to the cup holders.. let us know if the dealer gets the sound to go away.

I have the same problem and got no where with Nissan. The dealer told me there was some slippage in the rear bottom horizontal support bar. He's called tech support many times and got no solution from them. Its been 2 years and I have learned to live with it.

not the same problem... but has anyone noticed that their lumbar support seems to give out alittle after sitting for a while...?

Mine makes a small "air pop" sound and then you can feel it drop the pressure.

I have the same problem in my SE. It seems to be where the seatbelt attaches to the area next to the seat.

I told the dealership about this and said they could not replicate it. I noticed that the creaking appears and disappears depending on the weather...

Like others, I live with it but it's annoying. It goes well with the creaking in the dash area...

Exact same $hit with mine. It only happens in the cold so I sprayed sprayed some teflon up the side of the cushion between the rails.

Gone ever since. It was on the the right hand side of the drivers seat.

Thanks for your response. I am suspicious about the seatbelt area, too. I also figured that the sound would be worse in cooler temps when things tend to shrink. I am glad that I am not the only one who has experienced this...I thought I was losing my marbles...or just overly "aware" of the sounds in my car.
