emission question

I was wondering if the CEL has codes and you go up to the emission testing station and they scan yuor ECU with OBD, if the codes are not, O2 sensors or other emission related issues, will I end up failing, as I just had a tranny swap done and the CEL is on.

Thanks

If you check engine light is on you will not pass emissions, but if the codes pulled are only tranny related then the technician may let it slide (depends on the technician, obviously)

That has to be the most ignorant statement I've ever read...

Well, he can turn off his ECU light, but within days/minutes/hours it will illuminate..I tried it, thats why I know ..

Yes, as a matter of fact he should probably go to autozone and have them reset instead of messing with the screw and breaking it. Either way the codes will come back.

P.S. For the love of god pay attention in class, what you wrote looks like the ramblings of a mad man.
