Questions - Brakes & Supension

First off. My suspension.

I need to look into new suspension because there are two problems with my current suspension.
1) Sometimes when driving over some bumpy street, if I switch lanes doing say, 45mph, it sometimes feels like my back end slides around on me, or glides in the air, then comes back down.
2) It also creeks under weight in the back, and rattles a bit when I go over speeds bumps or small potholes.

Now Im aware that these can be different things and problems, but over all, I want new suspension that will give me a just a little bit less of a wheel gap, and perform better. Problem is, I dont know what to get, and Im limited to the amount of tools I have in my garage. Shop work is not an option.

The Brakes. More than 100 times, I have had to come to a quick stop, or slow down quickly from a higher speed on a freeway, and my brakes will end up getting this real rough feeling in the petals.
My questions are:
1) Do my rear brakes even get used?
2) What upgrades are there and how much do they cost?
3) What is all that black sh*t that comes out of my wheels when I wash my car?
4) With an overall stock max, What is my best option?

Don't have an answer for you on the first issue, just sounds like you need new rear shocks.

lol, don't know how you could know or have kept count that you've had to stop quickly more than 100 times. Anyway, I don't have exact numbers, but know its something like 90/10. 90% front and 10% back. The black stuff is brake dust most likely.

Your best option is to get some Illuminas with lowering springs. Stay with OEM brake bads or high quality aftermarket ones. And get your rotors checked too.

I have Tein S-Tech's w/KYB Gr2's, and I have no problem at all when im on a bumpy road. Yes the car will bounce a tiny bit more than before, but that is expected b/c the car has been lowered. Big Brake upgrades there are plenty of them. If you wanna save money stay at the size that there at now and just opt to get better padsa, and rotors. This will also minimize the brake dust you see coming off you wheel, when youre at a car wash...

How much would going with "Illuminas with lowering springs" cost me?
and with S-Tech's w/KYB Gr2's?

Also, what are some high quality aftermarket pads and where can I find them?

illumina and hr i would say, thats what i was going to go with, and apparently its close to stock on the ride quality. but after seeing ksports go for like 500 used i would have grabbed the coilovers for that price over the strut/spring combo.
my brakes suck too man, im goin for the bbk i dont think our brakes are good for the repetitive highspeed braking

Our cars may not be good for stopping quickly, but they are good for smoking miatas with head work and NOS...hahaha

Miatas are cool, but that guy was a joke..."I took the miata over the vette"

anyways. Yeah, i think ill go for suspension first and go with your advice on the used coils, then go for high quality pads, that sounds best.
