injen vs stock

I hear many people telling me that the stock intake is better then the cold air intake I have in my GXE. Its a injen mid-range power CAI. I know this is an amature question but please leave some insight. Many say the stock intake gives more torque, is this true?

Keep stock setup and just get a K&N drop in filter.

none of the fastest "N/A" 4th gens on this forum are using the stock set up. it really depends on what you wanna do with your car i guess...

The thing with the Injen is that it sucks in hot air around the radiator, making it a HAI.

when i bought the car it had the injen on it. seems to run good i think. i just bought a bomz short ram and a jwt pop to install on it. i'm also planning on buying the CAI from cattman and once i have all three, i'm gonna be dynoing them all the same day to finally get a true answer as to what does what. i don't have a stock intake so its benefits will still be undetermined.

Yeah the stock intake in better then the Injen because the Injen sucks hot air from the radiator. Place Racing would be better but go with stock for now.

true, however, if you remove the left hand engine bay lower splash guard and add a injen heat shield, you start to close the gap between hot air and cold air intakes. i'm currently running this set up and throttle response has increase considerably, haven't dynoed yet though.

I just took off my intake, had it on for about week 1/2 it sounded nice and all but i personally felt a lose of power. Changed it back to stock and couldn't be happier. Drives better, quietly, and smoother.
