Can a failed O2 sensor and Knock sensor stall my car?

I have a code 0503= Upstream Oxygen Sensor or circuit fault(right bank) and a Code 0304 = Knock sensor or circuit fault. My car start fine and I'm able to drive but it stalls without warning. Can those two cause my car to stall?

the knock sensor will seriously your performance if it malfunctions, dunno if it will actually cause it to stall but best to get them both fixed.

Knock sensor should have nothing to do with stalling out the car nor should the o2 sensor.

Check your fuel pressure and rule that out first. The 02 nor the knock should cause stalling. When does is stall? While driving or at a stop light? If the fuel pressure checks out I'd head towards maybe MAF or TPS.

I'll be looking forward to seeing how your knock sensor replacement affects your problem. I hate to say it, but I've never heard of the KS causing stalls. I'd still check fuel pressure, then lean towards the TPS or MAF...check for continuity.

alright...i attempted last night to replace my knock sensor, and failed. i couldnt get the damn bolt off!!! i can stick my hand in there (cutting it up a little) and get a firm grip on the entire piece, but the damn bolt wont budge!!! so, i took off the harness and tried to see if that would make a difference in the attempt to get it off, but no luck. so i gave up last night and will try again tonight. however, i tried to start my car this morning to go to work, and to my wonderful surprise the CEL is now on (will check codes when i get home) and the car was vibrating a little and stalled when i put it into gear!!!! WTF!?!?!?! ya'll, this has been my second attempt at this KS and am genuinely getting annoyed beyond all belief. if anyone can truly help me, i would be so unbelievably appreciative!!! I NEED HELP!!

I was driving with BOTH O2 sensors bad, and the KS wasn't even connected (harness fault). No problem, the car still had plenty of power, the only thing that seemed to suffer was the fuel consumption. In other words I don't believe your stalling problem is anything to do with those sensors. However you should fix them anyway.

Again, I don't think it's KS. I'd be suspicious of the MAF.

I had a bad O2 Sensor and KS....car ran fine, BUT there was times where the car DIDN'T run fine out of nowhere and would stall out. Sometimes it even stalled out several times in a row, not just once. Thankfully, I changed the rear bank O2 and the KS and perfectly fine after that. Never did it again.

GarciaMaxima,

Your KS has was probably gone before the o2 sensor problem because the o2 sensor will actually throw a CEL. When mine when (o2) I discovered my KS was gone as well. I got terrible gas mileage and the car ran a little rough too. I'd start with your o2 sensor and go from there.

However, a little advice, I went with a knock-off o2 sensor and it died on me 5 months later. Go with the OEM part if you don't want to replace it sooner than later.
